BugkiaTiam translates to Spectacle Shop in Hokkien. The name in Hokkien represents our humble origins as well as our pride as Penang Lang! We are set up in a very ‘traditional’ environment operating with a very ‘modern’ culture. A ‘local’ name with a ‘foreign’ design. An ‘old’ business with a fresh ‘new’ twist!
BugkiaTiam combines both traditional and modern culture into a unique blend, creating an equalizing effect. It doesn’t matter if you’re old or young, from the city or village, local or foreigner, BugkiaTiam is the place to be!

BUGKIATIAM是翻译于闽南语；意思是眼镜店。这名字用闽南语是代表了我们的地区文化也是槟城人最常用的语言之一。我们建立在一个非常‘传统’的环境中，以一个非常‘现代’的文化运作。一个‘旧’的业务与一个‘特别’的方式去经营！
